Project to capture our emotions
I designed a mechanism that captures the electromagnetic waves produced by our emotions on the baryonic layer of an electronic component. This component, an RFID chip, serves as a bridge between the felt emotion and its permanent inscription in the blockchain. I physically integrate people’s emotions into the blockchain for eternity.
The artist Valen, with his emochain concept, pushes the boundaries of contemporary art by merging technology and emotions. By integrating his emotion-producing systems—which can generate feelings such as anger, sleep, health, and more—into the blockchain, Valen aims to materialize emotions within this cutting-edge technology.
Each emochain is the product of a newly generated specific emotion. It is not just a visual and poetic representation but a true embodiment of emotion in the digital and physical world. The emochains are then integrated into the blockchain, adding an emotional dimension to a technology typically associated with finance and information.
With this work, Valen seeks to demonstrate the priceless value of our emotions. By using the blockchain, often compared to digital gold, he aims to prove that our emotions are worth far more than gold. This innovative approach combines technology, emotion, and economy in a unique and avant-garde artistic endeavor.
